You can clearly see in the movie that Jimmy possesses much skills rapping, so the movie is about how he can use these skills to become everything that he wants. Jimmy Smith tells his friends a lot of times that he wants to get out this town and become someone great. This is pointed out several times in the movie. Jimmy Smith wants to get out of poverty by becoming a famous rap star. Theme: The theme in this movie is the american dream. Although the ending is pretty linear and everything went the way you expected it to, the last battles are pretty epic and ends the movie in a good way. I'm personally a rap-fan so I enjoyed a lot of the music and battles in the movie as well. A lot of the actors rally fit in the role and they give the movie a deeper feel. Also there are a lot of good acting in the movie, especially Eminem's role. I think it is a realistic portraying of the underground hip-hop communtiny and also a good movie when it comes to the story.
